Interior Painting 2013 Summer Project
This past summer, the Sophomores (Class of 2015) took ownership of the House and really made it their own. With the instruction of professional painters, their class worked together to paint the walls and ceilings, giving the whole house – hallways, stairwells, Foyer, and Chapter room – a Dartmouth green lower third, a beige upper, and a bright white ceiling.
If you find yourself at Dartmouth or nearby this Homecoming weekend – October 11-13 – please stop by the House and take a look at the hard work that these guys have put into the house.
House Seal in Foyer
3rd floor hallway
This is the new Foyer. When doing renovations on the pit we had to move the double doors that were previously under the archway (which you can see through the doors) so that they were closer to the central stair. The doors have been equipped with an electronic lock to make it easy to lock during parties and keep it nice.
That’s a flat screen TV hanging over the fireplace, and the original pool table that at one point was in the pit and before that was in the previous Gamma Delt House on the property.
These guys have done a really nice job.
Look at that floor shine. The south-facing bay window is on the other side of the pool table.
